Drying Lincoln City FC

Due to the extreme weather conditions and high volume of rainfall during December 2012, staff at Lincoln City Football Club returned to work to find a large section of their main stand under a deluge of contaminated water. There was extensive water damage throughout the Changing Room Areas, Dance Hall, Refreshment Areas/Kitchen and the Early Learning Centre.

The Ground itself is situated adjacent to the Sincil Dyke which can leave this particular area vulnerable to flood damage. Because of the busy football fixture list, it was imperative the club's Boxing Day match took place as there would have been a significant financial impact on the Club as the match against local rivals, Grimsby Town, draws the highest attendance of the year.

Quick action on the part of the club enabled the building contractors to carry out strip-out works to prevent progressive water damage. Within days, the Xeric team had installed drying equipment and after just 7 days all areas were ready for restorative works. The Club were delighted that the game could go ahead on Boxing Day as planned with minimal disruption.

Xeric had managed to significantly improve a very stressful situation which could have been a major disaster.
