Framlingham Floods

In October 2023, Storm Babet caused severe flooding in Framlingham, a small village in Suffolk. In the aftermath (April 2024) Xeric attended 15 homes impacted by the devastation.

The properties included 10 ground floor flats and 5 houses which had been ravaged by flood water requiring the families to evacuate their homes and move into alternative accommodation.

In some cases, it sadly meant families were separated due to the lack of appropriate housing in the vicinity.

Traditional drying methods would have taken 8 to 10 weeks before the reinstatement process could take place and meant a huge upheaval for the families who had been displaced.

However, by using Xeric's High-Energy drying process, drying times were reduced dramatically. The heat treatment process works by pumping jets of heated water from our mobile trailers through insulated pipes to heat exchangers placed strategically within the treatment area.

Xeric dried all the properties within 10 to 14 days allowing families to be reunited back into their homes months earlier than would have normally been expected.
