Mansion House Flooding

A multi-million-pound six-bedroom mansion set within two acres of landscaped grounds suffered a major flooding incident following the failure of an environmental drainage system. The flood resulted in the entire ground floor being submerged beneath approximately three feet of water, placing the property's luxurious interiors and high-value contents at significant risk.

Finished to an exceptional standard, the residence featured premium furniture and accessories, extensive marble flooring, bespoke panelled walls, and three grand staircases. The estate also included stables and an outdoor swimming pool, making the protection of both the building and its contents a priority from the outset.

Xeric was appointed immediately following the incident and mobilised a specialist response team to assess the extent of the damage and implement emergency mitigation measures. By rapidly deploying a high-energy drying system and carrying out comprehensive moisture monitoring, our team was able to stabilise the environment and significantly reduce the long-term impact of the flood.

This proactive approach helped preserve much of the property's original finishes and contents, resulting in only minimal strip-out works being required. Through careful planning and efficient project delivery, all drying and remediation works were successfully completed within just two weeks, allowing reinstatement works to proceed without delay and minimising disruption to the property owners.
