Sainsbury’s Local - Lincoln
With a strict deadline fast approaching for the construction of a Sainsbury's Local retail store, there was a real risk that the completion date was not going to be fulfilled under the main build contract.
Consistent, heavy rainfall during construction meant that the walls and floors of the new building were too saturated to apply finishing materials including paint and fittings.
Xeric Limited were contacted to provide a rapid-reaction solution to ensure that the construction deadline could be achieved. The following day, one of our trailer-mounted boiler systems arrived on site and multiple heat exchangers were placed strategically throughout the building.
Our expert team were able to control the temperatures of the building to allow for an accelerated and effective drying process. The building was dry, and ready for painting, within just 3 days, which enabled the project to be completed ahead of schedule, saving the contractor significant penalty sums and allowing the client to begin trading on time.
In this particular case, the reaction times were critical to ensure the Project Managers could handover within the time scale agreed. This was just another example of the diversity and efficiency of the Xeric drying process.
